Photograph article dated June 3, 1948 partially reads, "According to bee-keepers, bees are attracted to music. True or not, some particularly discriminating bees picked on the home of David Rubinoff, famous concert and radio violinist, to set up headquarters - three hives of them...Called in to relieve the situation, Bee Expert A. E. Crisp, of Simi Valley, found the three hives between the walls of the Rubinoff home at 5050 Encino ave. One hundred stings later, more or less, he managed to move the honey-collectors to less musical surroundings."
