Description: Landscape view from the Lake Vineyard estate owned by Benjamin Davis Wilson in San Gabriel (now mainly part of San Marino, California), down a hill, with a few large shade trees, to winery buildings and land divided into orchards and vineyards that reaches almost to the horizon.
Title derived from Watkins New Series stereo #4417. Date devised by cataloger; Watkins made two trips to Southern California, in 1877 and 1880. There are two different images associated with #4417. Titles vary slightly. Number is printed on stereo matching photCL 74 (599), while penciled in on stereo from the Bancroft Library.
