Photograph caption dated July 16, 1958 reads, "Top men train - Four team shooters from the San Fernando Police Department take time on the indoor range. From left, Sgt. Jim Heaton draws bead on target, while Sgt. Karl Johnson, range master, checks revolver of Officer Bill Elliott. Det. Frank Barbarick turns wheel that brings in his target. All men on the department must qualify each year. The department team won the Quarterly Trophy in a recent competition with the San Fernando Valley Gun Club."
