Description
A $10,000 fire swept through a section of the Biltmore Hotel, near the Cowie Art Gallery where 1500 paintings worth more than $1,000,000 were on display. In front is a section of the gallery, with its many paintings, which narrowly escaped destruction. Arrow points to nearby room ruined by the fire. Photo dated: December 25, 1954.
