A half-length studio portrait of President Abraham Lincoln turned slightly to the left. Lincoln is resting his left elbow on a low table, and holding his glasses in his lap. He has a goatee and his tie is askew.
Title stamped below photograph. Text printed at the bottom of the card reads "Entered according to Act of Congress, by Alex. Gardner, in the year 1865, in the Clerk's Office of the District Court for the District of Columbia.
