Description
Enedina "Nina" Flores in 1944 at age 19. "Nina" started working at California Packing Corporation Plant #3 in 1942 at the age of 17. Plant #3 was located at 801 Auzerais Avenue in San Jose. She, her brother and two sisters worked nights at the cannery. Nina retired from Del Monte Corporation in 1987. California Packing Corporation sold its products under a number of proprietary and distributive labels, including their premium brand, Del Monte. In June 1967, the company name was officially changed to the Del Monte Corporation.
