Photograph caption dated September 2, 1959 reads, "Just because he may not look exactly the same, don't think that man motioning you to the side of the street isn't a bona fide Burbank police officer. Here, Officer Wally Dixon, in department's newly authorized short-sleeved shirt, gives 'ticket' to Bud Maner. Officers voted to make shirts regulation uniform for summer days, wearing them June 1 - Oct. 1 every year."
