Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated December 1, 1958 reads, "Flames leap high into air behind home of Ted Maticka, near Monte Nido, during height of raging brush fire that swept over some 4,000 acres near Calabasas. Family had already evacuated, boarding up windows.
