Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of Los Angeles looking northeast from the City Hall tower, ca.1931. There is heavy traffic on a wide street in the middle of the image most of the other visible streets have fairly light traffic. The part of the city that is visible features many densely placed shops and other buildings, as well as a fair number of trees, especially in the lower left corner. In the background is a line of mountains, bare except for trees along the ridgeline. Legible signs include, from left, "Brunswig Drug Co. Wholesale Dr[uggists]", and "The Braun Co[mpany] Laboratory Outfits Mine Mill and Smelt Supplies".
