Departure for a missionary tour to Bora-Bora and Maupiti
Two sailboats on the Pacific Ocean. A French flag floats on the left boat.
Comment : Text at the back of the photo: The first [boat] is 35 [miles nautical] from Raiatea island and the last one is 54. The [boat] replaces the wagon used as a means of transport in Lesotho. There are 8 people in this boat of 6m30 of length. On the left, volutes of the open sea which break on the cliff. The [boat] is still in the lagoon, about to go out. October, 1923.
