Photograph of the Hollywood Cash Grocery, the first grocery in Hollywood, on Sunset Boulevard, between Ivar Avenue and Vine Street (near Cahuenga), California, ca.1905. The store, which sports a balcony and canopied porch, displays signs which read "Hollywood Cash Grocery Choice Family Groceries" and "German Family Soap. Flour Feed and Grain". A horse-drawn cart is parked out front to the left. Treetops are visible in the background. Additional information: the Hollywood Cash Grocery store was established and owned by a local meat-delivery man Jacob Muller. His sons, Frank and Walter, founded Muller Bros. Company.
