Description
Photograph of an exterior view of San Diego's Old Town Mission church and church bells, ca.1898. The modest, two-story saltbox building stands at center, its facade sporting wooden clapboard. The main entrance appears to be the rightmost door, which is installed in the church's main building, while a secondary door can be seen in the sloping annex just to the left of it. Two windows are arranged above the main door, just to either side of it. Near the narrow side of the church, to the right, two bells hang from a wooden frame. Scrub vegetation covers the uneven ground out front, while hills can be seen in the immediate background.
