Description
Photograph of a man [G.B. Harney?] inspecting sacks of magnesium ready for shipment at Magnesium Station near Death Valley, ca.1922-1926. At left, a man in a suit makes his way across a wooden walkway, his left hand lightly touching one of the numerous stacked bags to the right. A road and desert can be seen in the background. Writing on photo reads: "Bagged magnesium stacked at Magnesium Station, the junction point between the Trona Railway and the monorail which is used to transport it from the natural deposits on the west side of Death Valley, thirty miles away".
