Photograph of a birdseye view of Sonora Town looking north from For Moore Hill (and/or residence of J.W. Robinson?), Los Angeles, ca.1900. To the right, a large, Victorian mansion sits on a hill with two tiers of stone steps leading up to it. Further in the foreground and at center, several modest, single-level ranch-houses are situated on the slope of the hill near the road at left where groups of houses are spaced closely together. A windmill can be see next to the leftmost of the ranch-houses. A larch, arcing hill can be seen spreading itself across the horizon.
