Marsha Hunt was born on October 17, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois. She is a former American film actress and activist. She appeared in many films before being blacklisted by Hollywood movie studio executives after protesting the actions of House Un-American Activities Committee in the 1950s. Hunt appeared in stage plays during this time and gradually began to work again behind the camera. After announcing her retirement in 1960, she appeared in a few films and television programs. She was married to screenwriter and radio director Robert Presnell Jr. from 1946 until his death in 1986.
