Photograph of a view of the Hyperion Avenue viaduct in Glendale, looking west, showing Glendale Boulevard, [s.d.]. The Hyperion Avenue viaduct, built in 1928, runs from the foreground of the image to the right background. The lower roadway shown is Glendale Boulevard, while the upper is Hyperion Avenue. Each street is lined by utility poles and street lights. Trees and residences are visble at the horizon. The Viaduct crosses the Los Angeles River, and its main structure is 1,350 feet long. The cost of total project was $1,607,748, including the cost of grade separation structures under Pacific Electric Railroad at the east end and the structure under Waverly Avenue at the west end.
