Description
Company L at San Luis Obispo in 1917. Visible in the photograph are Captain Nelson M. Holderman, Lieutenants A. K. Ford and Chas D. Swanner in uniform in front of a tent. Company L was formed by men of Santa Ana in 1890 as part of the State Guard. Company L gave assistance to San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake and served through the Spanish-American War, two World Wars and the Korean conflict.
