Hendes tjeneste har gennem alle årene været fokuseret på børn og unge samt menighedsarbejde/socialt arbejde ved flere kirker. Har bl.a. været leder ved Taipei Lutherske Studentercenter samt undervist på Lærerseminariet (Taiwan Normal Seminary) i 1970erne. Underviste fra 1978 og nogle år frem Søndagsskoleledere over hele Taiwan i materialet "Nyt Liv". Fra 1982-87 ansat ved Herrens Nådes Kirke i Taichung distrikt, og fra 1987-90 ansvarlig for menighedsarbejdet i Banchiao, Taipei

Missionary Birgit Norholdt. (photo from 1973-73). Teacher Birgit N. was sent by DMS to Taiwan,1967-90. Throughout the years the main focus of her service has been on children- and youth ministry and congregation/social work at several churches. In the 1970s she was leader of Taipei Lutheran Student Centre, and also had teaching at the Taiwan Normal Seminary. For some years she was responsible for teaching and distribution of the Sunday school material "New Life" to teachers all overTaiwan. From 1982-87 Birgit N. served at "the Lord's Grace Church, Taichung District, and from 1987-90 she was responsible for the congregation ministry at Banchiao, Taipei.
