Description
Connie and William begin the interview discussing how the idea for the book came about. Connie displays several paintings from the book and they discuss their context before considering William’s involvement in the artist’s creative process for the painting’s idea. They move on to reflect on the difference between Soviet artists and American artists in how they approach paintings, William’s education and professional background, and how he worked through translators to collaborate with Russians in the writing and production of the work. They proceed to talk about the painting styles featured in the book and how they depict an impressionistic style before discussing William’s own interest in the moon, education background, and what he hopes will come from future space projects. Connie and William then discuss Mars and the possibility of life there, and in other solar systems, before returning to the topic of the moon. Connie closes the interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book.
