Description
Photograph caption dated December 31, 1957 reads "Gary Martin, 16, right, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert B. Martin of 15543 Del Gado Dr., Sherman Oaks, accepts award as Hi-Y Boy of Year from Mid-Valley YMCA. Making presentation are Jack Klein, left, one of judges in contest, and Dr. Robert J. Ellery, chairman. Youth will compete in Valleywide district finals Jan. 8." The YMCA was located at 14515 Hamlin Street, Van Nuys. A replacement facility, at 6901 Lennox Avenue, Van Nuys, was built in 1961.
