Description
The text portion of the book contains three sections, each giving essays and descriptions about the landscape photographs, the trees and forests of California, and its geology, respectively. The next three sections contain individual photographs of Vischer's and other artists' artwork grouped as landscape, trees and forest scenes respectively. The albumen photographs are mounted on paper and pasted onto individual pages.
