Title supplied by cataloger.; Photograph also used for an article dated May 22, 1989.
Photograph caption dated May 1, 1989 reads, "Magic Johnson had 35 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds, and he ended up smiling after the Lakers' victory." This was taken during game 2 of the Western Conference 1st Round between the Lakers and the Portland Trail Blazers. The Lakers defeated Portland, 113-105, won the 3-game series, and went on to play against the Seattle Supersonics in the Western Conference Semifinals.
