First photograph caption dated June 23, 1956 reads "Paul Armstead, promising young featherweight, is a 2-1 choice over Billy Evans in tonight's 10-round boxing event at Hollywood Legion Stadium." Second photograph caption dated August 3, 1959 reads "Favored at Legion. Paulie Armstead, winner of 15 out of 18 pro starts, is narrow favorite over Lauro Salas in 12-round State lightweight elimination bout tonight at Hollywood Legion Stadium."
