Title supplied by cataloger. Two men were en route to Santa Paula Airport when their plane lost power, after it reached 150 feet, and crashed nose down in a field, about 250 yards north of the San Fernando Airport runway. It was believed that strong winds may have played a role in the crash. Photograph caption dated December 23, 1979 reads, "The single-engine Bellanca Super Decathlon which crashed on take-off at San Fernando Airport."
