Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph caption dated June 11, 1958 reads, "Joe Provow, 27, left, and Carl Horn, 33, were witnesses when fear-crazed bandit commandeered taxi at Blakeslee avenue and Chandler boulevard to escape." The assailant had just robbed the North Hollywood Department of Water and Power when, in an attempt to flee, he assaulted drivers for their cars, at times shooting his gun before managing to force his way into a taxi.; See images #00120853, #00120856, and #00120857 for all photos in this series.
