Photograph caption dated September 30, 1959 reads, "New Trophy -- Valley Plaza Kiwanis Club present Outstanding Achievement trophy to U.S. Grant High School. Receiving gift on behalf of school are Adaire Abbot, 15, student body president, and on her left, Henry Dyck, principal. With them are Kiwanis members, from left, John Mortara, Loy White, Bob Martsch and Lou NaVal."
