Photograph caption dated February 22, 1961 reads, "Overlooking Van Nuys at 14410 Sylvan Street, is nine-story Van Nuys City Hall, which houses Valley branch offices of municipal agencies. Building was dedicated exactly 28 years ago, on Feb. 22, 1933 and cost $275,000 to construct. Wing in right foreground houses Van Nuys police station and eastern wing contains health department and emergency hospital facilities."
