Caption reads: "A Pacific Gas and Electric Company helicopter crew yesterday began stringing the first cable of what will be a 500 kilovolt power transmission line across the upper part of Bidwell Park in Chico, Butte County. The line will be part of the intertie which will carry power from Bonneville Dam in Washington to Southern California."
