Description
A giant statue of Juan Bautista de Anza, the Spanish explorer who blazed a trail to California in 1774, is taking form in Newman Park, Riverside, as a gift to the city from the Riverside Art Association on April 12, 1940. It will be dedicated during Riverside's De Anza days, May 11 to 18.
