See L.A. Chamber Bulletin December 2, 1929 p.1, December 23, 1929 p.3. View 1: Olive Street looking north from 6th Street during the Christmas season. In the foreground is a streetlight decorated with a castle and icicles, as are the other lamps at every corner. These decorations were set up by the L.A. Chamber of Commerce to promote a "Christmas Outdoor" celebration. Pacific Electric streetcar tracks run in both directions down the center of the street. Numerous automobiles and pedestrians can be seen out and about, possibly shopping for their holiday gifts. At left are the Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Building and the Biltmore Hotel. Photo dated: December 20, 1929.
