Photograph caption dated April 19, 1961 reads, "Carillon Towers Over Valley Plaza -- Huge speakers will broadcast carillon music out over Valley Plaza from atop the new Los Angeles Federal Savings and Loan Association building at 12160 Victory Blvd., during holiday and religious occasions. Unique instrument cost more than $20,000 to install in the multi-story structure."
