Photograph caption dated February 17, 1962 reads, "Water covers X-15 landing field - Sue Walter, Miss Edwards Air Force Base of 1961, goes fishing on Rogers Dry (?) Lake where the X-15 manned rocket planes usually land at the Antelope Valley base. several inches of water from the recent rain storms swamped the lake, but officials welcomed the flooding - the shifting waters resurfaced the dry bed. P.S.: All Miss Walter caught was a few stares."
