Photograph article dated October 27, 1947 reads, "George Pastre, U.C.L.A. tackle, reaches out for S.M.U.'s Doak Walker but the star Mustang halfback eluded him and rambled to a first down in their intersectional football game at the Coliseum last Saturday, S.M.U. won the game, 7 to 0. The Bruins are now preparing for California."
