Here is a section of the former Terminal Island Federal Prison's big mess hall which prepares food for the hundreds of naval men and officers now using it as a receiving station. Prison bars and cell blocks still remain, and little reconditioning was done since the Navy took over the building. The brig, where offenders against regulations are held, retains its old identity.
