Description
Photograph of Ninth street, showing earthquake damage on a house, San Francisco, 1906. The cobblestone street lies in the foreground with the wrecked sidewalk lying behind it. The house at center has leaned towards the left off of its foundation. There is no wood paneling on the sidewalk in front of the house like there is on the far left. The street seems to have shifted in relation to the house as the staircase which once led to the two main doors now stands in shambles several feet to the left.
