Description
Photograph caption dated January 7, 1954 reads, "Intersection of Van Nuys boulevard and Vanowen street, Van Nuys, is pointed out by Mrs. Virginia W. Shaw, of 8842 Matilija Ave., to daughter, Susan Rae Shaw. For first time in 23 years, state's population center is moving south. In 1952 it was at Roscoe and Sepulveda boulevards, says Automobile Club of Southern California."
