Description
Federal Telegraph Company research team Lee de Forest, Herbert Van Etten, and Charles V. Logwood, with Mrs. (Jean) Logwood, in Palo Alto, California, in early 1912. The team developed the two devices that made large scale radio transmission possible, the Audion amplifier (demonstrated that year) and the vacuum tube oscillator, both landmarks in radio technology.
