Description
Taken in circa 1975 from the Weinstock, Lubin and Company department store, at 1120 K Street, is the intersection of Eleventh and K Streets and various water and concrete features that were placed there in 1969 under the enthusiastic support of then Sacramento mayor Walter Christensen, earning him the sobriquet "Father of the K Street Mall." In the background is Ransohoff's, a department store located at 1031 K Street.
