Description
Photograph looking north on Second Avenue (Main Street?) in Upland with a snowy Mount Baldy in the background, ca.1900. The buildings lining the unpaved street are mostly shops, and a line of utility poles on the left side. There is also a barber pole on the right side of the street. The only living thing visible on the street is a dog sitting near the estate office. Legible signs include "Shoe Shop", "Livery Stables", "Hospital", "Harness Shop", "Shoes Repaired", "Horse Clipping", "F.W. Harts Estate Office", "News Depot", "Upland Store Dry Goods Furnishings", and "Laundry".
