Photograph caption dated September 18, 1956 reads, "Skiing in Studio City - Trying out artificial snow at Studio City Playground are Don and Jackie Oswald of Glendale and Ken Cooper, director of dry land ski school. More than three tons of 'snow' was dropped during the dedication ceremonies of the Fifth Annual Valley-wide Dry Land Ski School."
