Built in 1905, this traction substation was used to power local Pacific Electric Railway lines as well as the Mount Lowe Railway. In 1941, the substation was included in a sale of Pacific Electric Lines to Pasadena City Lines, a subsidiary of National City Lines. In 1977, the substation was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
