Description
Photograph of a view of Main Street in Placerville, ca.1930. A man in a suit and hat stands near an automobile that is parked along the raised sidewalks of the stores that start on the right. Awnings that present the store titles shade the entrances and display windows of the stores. Further down several more automobiles can be seen including one which has a trailer and wagon attached to the rear. Another automobile can be seen behind a small clock tower on the left while another further down drives down the street which is lines with electrical poles. A hillside of trees can be seen in the distance. "Wooden awnings, a fashion of the mining days still remain".
