Description
The caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on November 26, 1971 states: "The signs show three ways to go on the new 13.8 mile section of Interstate 5 east of Tracy, unofficially called the East Tracy Bypass. The $15 million section of highway was opened this week and includes no gasoline stations along the way. An experimental feature of the highway is the use of continuous reinforced concrete pavement."
