Steen Brandt Nielsen, f. 1939. Cand. mag. i engelsk (1964) samt i musik (1967). Gift med Birgit Sørensen, 1962. Familien fik 2 børn (Henrik 1965 og Line 1968). Adjunkt ved Randers gymnasium, 1967-72. Kursus på Selly Oak Colleges, Birmingham, 1972. Sammen med familien udsendt af DMS til Tanzania, 1972-75. Arbejdssted: Leder af musikafdelingen på Ruhija Evangelical Academy, Bukoba. Steen Brandt Nielsen skrev flere bøger om musik, bl.a. "Mennesker og musik i Afrika" (1985). Efter hjemkomsten blev han tilknyttet Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium, hvor han især blev kendt for etablering og udvikling af Center for Rytmisk Musik og Bevægelse, som startede officielt i Silkeborg, 1987. Steen Brandt Nielsen døde i 2003. (Foto 1973)

Steen Brandt Nielsen, b. 1939. MA in English (1964) and Music (1967). Married to Birgit Sørensen, 1962. The family had 2 kids (Henrik, 1965 and Line, 1968). Lecturer at Randers High School, 1967-72. Course at Selly Oak Colleges, Birmingham, 1972. Together with family sent by DMS to Tanzania, 1972-75. Working place: Head of the Music Department, Ruhija Evangelical Academy, Bukoba. Steen Brandt Nielsen was also the author of music books, e.g."Mennesker og musik i Afrika" (1985). After return to Denmark, he became affiliated to the Academy of Music in Jutland. Here he was particularly recognized for the establishment and development of the "Center for Rhythmic Music and Movement", starting officially in Silkeborg, 1987. Steen Brandt Nielsen died in 2003.
