Description
This is a photograph of Fr. O'Neill with a group of children. Fr. O'Neill writes "Two of these ladies have since gone to heaven, Ma-lei-ka [the one on my lap] and Mei-tak [you can see the back of her head].
Rev. O'Neill was born in Narrangansett, RI. He entered Maryknoll in 1928 and was ordained in 1934. He was assigned to Kongmoon, where he remained until 1948, when he took up work with Catholic Relief Services in Canton. Expelled by the Communists in 1951, he was later assigned to Taiwan.
