A horse is tied to a post at left, before a smaller structure with a fence and balcony. Several other horses appear in a line at right, beneath the shade of several trees. A muddy plot of land extends across the foreground, while several areas at the top of the picture, and down the church side have been edited in with what appears to be white paint.
