Title devised by cataloger; date supplied by cataloger based on date provided with reproduced image in Ernest Marquez publication Santa Monica Beach (Angel City Press, 2004), page 93 with caption, "Besides transporting people to the beach, Southern Pacific Railroad trains brought hundreds of potential buyers and curious visitors to see the burgeoning town of Santa Monica. The stacked lumber visible in this photograph by E.G. Morrison was used for construction of homes and commercial buildings." Light green mount.
