On back: "Frank M. Pfister, City Justice of San Jose, 1884. Elected Justice of Peace, 1886. Born in San Jose, 1851, a son of Adoolph Pfister who came to Calif. with Col. Jonathon Drake Stevenson's First Regiment, New York Volunteers, In 1847." Attended Santa Clara College, 2 years, University of Ann Arbor. Graduated as attorney 1874. Tayo County law practice. Santa Clara County Treasurer 1892-84.
