Photograph caption dated August 16, 1977 reads, "Los Angeles city firemen inspect the wreckage of an auto which was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer rig on the southbound Hollywood Freeway near Barham Boulevard. A vacationing Colorado woman was killed in the crash and seven other persons, also from Colorado, were injured. The truck piled into the rear of one car during rush-hour traffic and four-car chain reaction followed."
