Title devised by cataloger. Location determined by research and grouping with related photographs - (see photCL_555_01_307). Legion Ascot Speedway operated 1924-1936 in City Terrace, East Los Angeles. (Source: “History of America's Speedways, Past and Present" by Allan E. Brown). Newspaper archives show George Connor (1906-2001) was in races at Legion Ascot Speedway in 1933 (and possibly other years). Connor went on to be a successful Indianapolis race car driver.
